Map the area already in use
Measure the free width and depth after placing your keyboard, mouse and notebook as you normally use them. Keep cable routes and access to existing ports in the plan. A paper outline can show where an accessory would sit without moving everything first.
Check the inside as well as the outside
IKEA lists ELLOVEN 504.747.70 at 47 cm wide, 26 cm deep and 10 cm high. Its drawer is listed as 45 cm wide and 24 cm deep inside. These different measurements show why an accessory can fit on a desk while an item still does not fit inside its drawer.
Keep suitability checks separate
A footprint comparison covers space only. Check the manufacturer’s load limit, stability guidance and equipment requirements before using a stand. This guide does not assess ergonomics or electrical compatibility, and the example has not been physically tested by HeyPikka.
